Delete your Hearthkeeper account and data
You can delete your Hearthkeeper account and all the data we hold for it yourself, any time, in a couple of taps. It happens immediately — nothing waits on us, and it costs nothing.
How to delete your account
- Open Hearthkeeper and sign in with the Google account you use with it.
- Tap Settings in the top bar, then find the Cloud Sync section.
- Tap Delete my account… at the bottom of that section.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Confirm with Google and delete and pick your Google account again when asked.
Uninstalled the app, or on a computer? You can do exactly the same on the web: open hearthkeeper-713fe.web.app in a browser, sign in with Google, and follow the steps above.
Own a household with other people in it? Make someone else an Owner (or remove the other members) first. Hearthkeeper will tell you if this applies.
What is deleted
- Your cloud save — your deeds, habits, to-dos, notes, projects, village and game progress that were backed up to your account.
- Your account information — the name, email address, profile photo and account ID we received from Google sign-in, and your sign-in account itself.
- Your household membership — you are removed from any household you belong to, along with your name and photo in its member list. If you were its only member, the household, its shared deeds and its invite code are deleted too.
What is kept, and for how long
- Shared household content. Deeds and other items already shared inside a household stay with that household for its other members; they no longer link to your profile.
- Purchase records. Records of purchases are held by Google Play, and by RevenueCat (which confirms purchases for us), under their own policies. We cannot delete Google Play’s billing records.
- Data on your device is not on our servers. It stays on your phone until you uninstall the app or clear its data.
- Deleted data is removed from Hearthkeeper right away. We keep no backups of it, though Google’s cloud infrastructure can take a limited time to finish purging deleted data from its own systems.
If you only want to stop sharing your data
Signing out (Settings → Cloud Sync) stops Hearthkeeper from syncing anything more to your account, and you can use the app without signing in at all. Deleting your account, as described above, removes everything we hold for it.
